Contact Lenses for Kids

Pre-teen girl without glassesAt some point your child may dislike wearing glasses, or find their eyewear interferes with their activities.  When that occurs, we can help you determine if your child is ready for contacts.  Typically, it’s more important to judge a child’s responsibility level and desire for contacts rather than age.  If your son or daughter is responsible enough to adhere to a daily hygiene routine and remembers to perform household chores without prodding, they are probably ready to wear contacts.  Their readiness can occur as early as age seven, and for many kids by age 11.
